Q: How long have you lived in Tucson or what are you Tucson roots aka what brought you to Tucson?
A: I consider myself a Tucson native having lived here for 25 years. My family moved here from Germany when I was 4 years old for the beautiful sunny weather and to fulfill their idea of the American Dream.
Q: How did you get into Special Event Managing (SEM)?
A: I have always been a social butterfly hosting parties and events in my personal life for friends and family. Working as a server, bartender, and eventually operations manager in the restaurant industry I was often in charge of banquets and group dining parties satisfying my social butterfly needs professionally as well. When the SEM position presented itself I jumped at the opportunity to further advance my growth in a career I knew would fuel my passion.
Q: What is your favorite FRC Private Dining space in Tucson and why?
A: I LOVE the Private Dining Room at North! The versatility of the room offers a unique space that can be whatever you want it to be. The ambiance in the room is adaptable. It is warm and inviting, perfect for any social gathering, but also professional and quiet enough for any business meeting without feeling boring or stiff.
Q: What is your favorite part of Tucson?
A: One of my favorite parts of Tucson is Sabino Canyon. It is the ultimate oasis for a hike, walk, swim, or ride abundant with wildlife.
Q: What are the three most important things to keep in mind when planning a private event or large party?
A: Top three things to keep in mind when planning a private event or large party:
- KNOW YOUR GUESTS- Have an idea of their likes/dislikes and incorporate personalized details
- OVER COMMUNICATE- The more information you provide the better your vision can come to life exactly as you imagined.
- BE REALISTIC- Factor in potential limitations such as budget or time constraints ahead of time to avoid unwanted surprises.
