Introducing Fox Concepts' 13th original restaurant and latest creation, The Arrogant
Butcher—now open at CityScape in Downtown Phoenix.
Welcome to over 7,500 square feet of confidence. Feel free to check your coat and
any insecurity at the door. Then step inside and watch the scene in the kitchen, open
dining room, full service bar or climate-controlled patio. The Arrogant Butcher is
where the buttoned-down crowd comes to impress at power lunches by day. And
hipsters, downtown residents and event goers mingle at night. You needn't be
highbrow to come here. You just have to appreciate great food.
ABOUT THE FOOD
What's good on the menu? You mean, besides everything? At The Arrogant Butcher,
urban grill meets updated comfort food and bold flavors marry perfectly with a mix of
hearty to healthy items.
Browse our chef's love letter to his patrons also known as the lunch menu. You'll find
a great selection of Appetizers, Charcuterie, Salads, Sandwiches and Entrees priced
from $12–$18. Menu selections include: Rock Shrimp, Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya;
California Halibut Fish N Chips; Turkey Sloppy Joe; Crab Cake "Louie" Salad; and
Strawberry, Granola, and Goat Cheese Salad. We also offer take-out to accommodate the
business community and area residents. But be warned—come in to pick it up and you
may want to stay.
The dinner menu includes meals you're familiar with, prepared like you've never
experienced before. Entrée prices range from $15–$35—a small price to pay for
greatness. You'll find daily specials like Meatloaf & Mashed Potatoes on Mondays, Slow
Roasted Prime Rib on Wednesdays and BBQ Baby Back Ribs on Saturdays. As well as
Salads, Sandwiches and Entrée selections that include: Green Apples & Beet Salad; the AB
Cheeseburger; Filet Mignon with Horseradish Potato, Asparagus & Brentwood Corn; Crab Stuffed Chicken with Meyer Lemons, Caper Berry & Spinach; and Bone-In Dry-Aged Ribeye with Roasted
Mushrooms & Shallots. It's all good, if we do say so ourselves. And trust us, we do
ABOUT THE SPACE
At The Arrogant Butcher, style and comfort meet for drinks and dinner—and never leave.
Industrial décor is complemented by a selection of woven fabrics and worn leathers in
natural tones including: taupe, chocolate brown, brick red, steel blue, and grey. It's all
set against textured woods, worn and polished steel finishes, exposed concrete and
glass. The space feels as if it's been a part of the downtown community for years—
urban, raw, edgy, rough and unpolished, but also as warm and inviting as an old friend.
To the left of the entry, something intriguing catches your attention. Then holds onto it.
It's the striking metal and steel bar with a zinc bar top and wood and steel barstools that
provide seating for 20. Just outside the bar area is a climate-controlled patio, lined with
planter boxes, a striped mustard yellow and white awning and funky painted picnic table
style seating for 66. Never will you find a more perfect platform for people watching.
If the meal is the main event, then the dining room is the prelude. A mix of freestanding
tables alongside taupe, brick red, and dark chocolate leather banquettes stand ready
to accommodate up to 112 guests. End Grain wood flooring made from 100% solid
Douglas Fir—salvaged from the Pacific Northwest—sets the scene. An open space
with exposed concrete ceilings, eclectic industrial lighting, brick and MDF covered
walls completes it all. Finally, a glass-lined exhibition style kitchen, adjacent to the
dining room, allows those strolling by on Jefferson Street to watch the performance
before their very eyes.
The restaurant also offers three private dining rooms for special events and meetings.
The News Room will seat up to 60 guests. Two smaller rooms can accommodate up
to 24 guests each or can combine to create one space for 48. All rooms are equipped
for AV presentations.
